Hi, I am a Ph.D. graduate in Linguistics from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. I worked with Prof. Pritha Chandra as a part of the SynDaC research group.

My research interests lie primarily in syntax and language variation. My doctoral thesis investigates the concept of the classifier as both a grammatical and cognitive tool. It explores variation within and across classifier languages, with a particular emphasis on Eastern Indo-Aryan (EIA) languages. In addition, I examine related grammatical notions such as definiteness, number, and numeral in the context of these languages.
Alongside EIA languages, I am currently engaged in research on plurality in lesser-studied Indo-Aryan languages such as Kashmiri and Dogri.

Beyond theoretical linguistics, I am keenly interested in interdisciplinary areas involving language and communication. My current explorations include the language of law, intercultural communication, advertising discourse, and the linguistic framing of entrepreneurial pitches.
